VIKRAM HOSPITAL BENGALURU CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
Bangalore.Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru’s trusted Quaternary care and multi-specialty health facility today organised Free yoga Camp for the citizens of Bengaluru to mark the third International Yoga Day under the theme ‘Meditation for World Peace’. More than 200 yoga enthusiasts including the staff, doctors and patients of Vikram Hospital participated in the camp. Dr. HS Nagaraj, Founder & Chairman of Base Coaching Institute, Bengaluru, was the Chief Guest of the event.
The event was organised by the Department of Neurosciences and Department of Integrated medicine, Vikram Hospital. The session, which began at 9:00 am and continued until 10.30 am, witnessed participants from different age groups ranging from 18 to 60 years. The camp included an overview of the benefits of yoga and training in simple asanas and meditative techniques. The objective of this programme was to encourage people to take up a yogic way of life to enable better health and peace. The sessions were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shashikant, MBBS, MD (Yoga & Rehabilitation) renowned expert in integrated medicine.
Dr B. A. Chandramouli, Senior Consultant neurosurgeon and Chief of Neurosciences, Vikram Hospital said that we are seeing a rise in diseases related to poor life style, stress and discontent in life. Yoga induces a sense of well being, peace of mind and results in positive health.
