Vijaya Bank launched 100 Digital Villages, 100 Branches and 100 ATMs simultaneously by Shri Arun Jaitely who pressed the buttion to officially declare open all the new entities, at Bangalore on Saturday in the presence of Dr. Kishore Sansi, MD & CEO of the Bank; Shri Ashok Kumar Gupta, Secretary, Defence Production, Sri G. Narayanan, Chairman of the Bank, Sri B. S. Rama Rao and Sri Nageswara Rao Y., Executive Directors of the Bank

FINANCE MINISTER INAUGURATES 100 BRANCHES, 100 ATMS AND 100 DIGITAL VILLAGES OF VIJAYA BANK

Bengaluru. Vijaya Bank today dedicated 100 Branches, 100 Digital Villages and 100 ATMs to the nation through the hands of Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance, Defence and Corporate Affairs in a glittering function held at Bangalore.

Speaking on this occasion, the Hon’ble Finance Minister complimented the Bank for its commitment towards nation building by opening of Branches and ATMs. The Finance Minister also complimented the efforts of the Bank towards financial inclusion and for its initiatives in creating a digital economy by adopting 100 digital villages. He said that Government and RBI have taken various steps to bring down the cost of digital transactions to encourage the people to adopt digital payments and government is extending lot of incentives to the people to shift to digital mode of payment and the response is quite positive.

Dr. Kishore Sansi, MD & CEO of the Bank speaking on the occasion said that it is a great moment for the Bank to have the Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Arun Jaitley here with us today to inaugurate 100 new branches, 100 ATMs and to launch 100 digital villages.

The Hon’ble Union Finance Minister handed over sanction communications under Stand-up programme of Government of India and also under the unique ‘Debt Swap’ facility to some of the beneficiaries.

On this occasion, Bank under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, adopted 100 girl children belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC and economically weaker sections of the society in the age group of five years and above, wherein Bank will bear their educational expenses up to post graduation level.
