THE PUMA ‘RACE DAY TEE’ WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO ALL OPEN 10K PARTICIPANTS – A FIRST OF ITS KIND INITIATIVE AT THE TCS WORLD 10K
Bengaluru. The joy of completing your first 10K is just as fulfilling as completing your tenth. For some, it means weeks, months and sometimes even years of commitment of the heart and the dedication of the body to bring you across the finish line. And in recognition of that promise each runner makes to oneself to finish a run, Face of the Event of the TCS World 10K, Sandalwood Superstar Puneeth Rajkumar today launched the PUMA ‘Race Day Tee’ as a reward for all runners who registered in the Open 10K category at the eleventh edition of the TCS World 10K scheduled for the 27th of May.
The ‘PUMA Race Day Tee’ is also an extension of PUMA’s commitment to nurture the fitness and sports ecosystem in India, as well as encourage all individuals to invest in maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. Announcing the association with the TCS World 10K, Abhishek Ganguly, Managing Director PUMA India shared, “The PUMA family is proud to announce its association with the TCS World 10K. This association is even more special, given that we are headquartered out of the city and partnering with the city’s most elite run was a natural fit for us. Running is a very critical part of building a fitter India and it is that belief that encourages us to promote the sport. We are also glad to reward every Open 10K runner with a Race Day Tee that is created with our dry-cell technology“. Continuing, he said “Encouraging the running spirit, we are distributing race accessories such as reflective strips as well as nipple bands to all the registered runners at our stores, in the hope to aid their performances. This association is just a start, and we hope it is going to be a great journey.”
At the unveiling of the tee, Puneeth Rajkumar wished all the participants ‘All the Best’. He was accompanied by 6 of the 12 all-women Pacers for the TCS World 10K, who are fuelled by the bliss of strong finishes and are eager to encourage people into discovering the satisfaction of running their best runs – just like they did. Donning different hats, through different walks of life, these women include Shailja Sridhar who will lead the first bus for the race, the 50 Minute Bus, Mother of two- Bahar Sinha, who discovered running to rid of “mommy” pounds and Sahana Zuberi, whose passion for running has led her to build a multi-sports sports activity centre for children. These women who started with a will to put one foot in front of another and are now eager to lead people to go beyond their limits.
