WITNESSING THE LAUNCH OF PSLV–C42 / NOVASAR/S1-4 MISSION LIVE

 Sriharikota.The forthcoming launch of India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle  (PSLV-C42) carrying two satellites of United Kingdom, viz., NovaSAR and S1-4, is scheduled at 2207 hrs IST (10:07 pm) in the night on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota.

For this, as has been done in the past, to cover this launch live, media from the nearest Metro, namely Chennai, is being invited through PIB, Chennai.

However, based on the interest shown by Bengaluru media to witness the launch live, you may kindly invite accredited mainstream media persons from Bengaluru, on behalf of ISRO.

The interested  mainstream media persons from Bengaluru, accredited to PIB/DIPR Bengaluru have to necessarily send their names and other particulars (their media house name, landline, their Cellphone no and email address) to the undersigned by not later than 12:30 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018. (My cellphone number is

 

 

  1. For witnessing this launch live, the interested accredited mainstream media persons from Bengaluru have to reach Chennai on their own, make their own arrangements for accommodation at Chennaiand have to necessarily register with PIB, Chennai located at Shastri Bhavan, Nungambakkam, Chennai between 2 pm and 6 pm of Saturday, September 15, 2018. 

 

  1. While coming to Chennai for registration, they have to bring a copy of your invite (sent by you electronically), ORIGINAL & PHOTO COPY OF their valid photo ID card (DRIVING LICENCE OR VOTER’S ID CARD OR ADHAAR CARD OR PAN CARD) as well as ORIGINAL and Photocopy of their Accreditation card.  Please mention this explicitly in your invite.

 

  1. And, for witnessing the launch live, media persons have to report to PIB, Nungambakkam, CHENNAIat 1630 hrs  (4:30 pm) on Sunday, September 16, 2018 and have to necessarily bring the pass and the duly filled up equipment (both issued by PIB Chennai previous day) as well as their original photo ID cards and Accreditation cards.

 

  1. ISRO arranged vehicles carrying media persons will leave PIB, Nungambakkam,Chennai at 1700 hrs  (5:00 pm) on Sunday, September 16, 2018 so as  to reach Sriharikota by 8:00 pm in the night of Sunday, September 16, 2018 in view of the entry restrictions at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota.  After the launch, the media persons will be dropped back at PIB, Chennai at Nungambakkam around 3:00 am (early in the morning) on Monday, September 17, 2018.

 

  1. Bengaluru media persons have to make their own arrangements for travelling back to Bengaluru.
