VIJAYA BANK’S Q3 NET PROFIT RS 143 CRORES
Bengaluru. State-owned Vijaya Bank today reported a net profit of Rs 143 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal. The bank’s CEO Mr. R.A Shankar Narayanan. said that the profit was up 80 per cent at Rs 79.56 lakh crore during the same period of the previous financial year. Shankar Narayanan told the news conference. The bank’s total income increased from Rs 3,451 crore to Rs 4,106 crore. The average NPA declined to 6.14 per cent from 6.17 per cent. However, the net NPA has risen slightly to 3.4 per cent from 3.99 per cent.
Name of the Bank of Baroda!
The central government has decided to set up a new bank which will merge and consolidate the three banks to name the Bank of Baroda. Vijaya Bank’s financial status is good. So, the Vijaya Bank can retain its name. Asked if the Bank Administration had insisted on the government, “We have given positive suggestions. However, the government has decided to keep the name of the Bank of Baroda. There is no role here, “he said.
