MEDALS HAUL BY INDIA CONTINGENT AT THE 12TH KOREA OPEN INTERNATIONAL KARATE-DO CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Bangalore : The Indian contingent led by Renshi R Ganesan of Ken-Ei-Mabuni Shito-Ryu Karate School of India, Bangalore had a record haul of 18 medals (3 Golds, 5 Silvers & 10 Bronze) at the recently held The 12th Korea Open International Karate-do Championships at Busan Korea between June 7th to 12th, 2019.
The 19 member team (including coach & support staff) had its most successful tournament in recent times. Team members aged between 9 to Veterans participated in the tournament that was attended by 13 other countries.
Speaking on this achievement Renshi R Ganesan, “This is a momentous occasion for us, the hard work and sacrifice put in by the team has paid off handsomely. We have no doubt that this is just the beginning of many more laurels to be won by the athletes. It is a proud moment for me personally to achieve so many medals in a very competitive world tournament. It is also heartening to see that a sport like Karate has been supported by our Government.
