Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made an important announcement that the service of civil servants will be made permanent on May 1st Labor Day.
He was speaking while inaugurating the 25th anniversary of the Civil Workers’ Maha Sangh and the Civil Workers’ Community Awareness Program held at the Palace Grounds.
As per Basavanna’s vow, you are working hard, saying that work is the highest mountain. It is rare for others to come to the work of civil servants. Therefore, it is the responsibility and duty of the government to solve your problems and fulfill your demands, he said.
There is no difference between the Chief Secretary of the government and the civil servants. All services are sacred. It is not right to treat you in a humiliating manner. You should also get professional respect and dignity. For this, the service will be made permanent, he said.
Permanent for drivers
The Chief Minister announced that along with the civic workers, the service of vehicle drivers will also be made permanent by removing them from the contract.
The children of civic workers should be educated. Only if they are educated can they become self-respecting. Give education to all children. Everyone is talented. It is important to get an opportunity. If given an opportunity, the talent within everyone will come out, he said.
Cashless health card
The civic worker community will be given a cashless health card. The CM assured on this occasion that the problem of the validity of the workers will be resolved.
Narayan’s contribution to the community is great: CM
Narayan’s role in the organization and struggle of civic workers is great. He expressed appreciation that Narayan is the first among those who came from the civic worker community and became mayor.
Our government has solved many of the problems of civic workers that Narayan put before the government. Our government has abolished the contract system of civic workers and implemented a system of paying salaries from the corporations themselves. He said that out of 524 houses provided in Mysore, our government is the only one that is providing civic workers with a home and paying Rs. 6.5 lakh per house.
It is this Siddaramaiah who increased the salary of civic workers from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 17,000, he said.
You are all working hard now to maintain cleanliness. Your children should not do the same. Your children should go to other jobs. That is how you should grow up. You should come into the mainstream of society, he said.
Every year, one thousand civic workers are being sent on foreign trips. He called on the civic workers community to develop world consciousness. Mr.PN. Mutyalappa Presedent of Bangalore civil servent and Mr. Mysore Narayan State president of civil servents were participated.
