Greater Bangalore Authority approval; Capital ‘name’ for Ramanagara?
Bengaluru:Soon after the Greater Bengaluru Authority Bill was passed in the Assembly, there have been widespread discussions that Ramanagara district will be renamed as Bangalore district and all the benefits and losses of the name Bangalore will be available to Ramanagara in the future. Earlier, the Bidadi Smart City Authority was formed and more than 30 villages in the Bidadi area were included in the planning area. The government had also proposed to build a smart city there.
