HINDI IS NOT THE ENEMY OF ANY INDIAN LANGUAGE – AMIT SHAH

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statements on other Indian languages besides Hindi are being debated. There is an allegation that the Modi government is imposing Hindi, especially in the southern states. It is being interpreted that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are making every effort to get rid of it.
The statements made by Amit Shah for the last 15 days seem to confirm this. Amit Shah, who participated in an event held on Thursday (June 26), said that Hindi is not the enemy of Indian languages. By doing so, he is taking a balancing step.
“There should be no opposition to any foreign language. Hindi cannot be the enemy of any Indian language,” Amit Shah said. He was speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Department of Official Languages of the Home Ministry.
