INDIA -PAKISTAN TENSION NATION WIDE MOKE DRILLS

NEW DELHI: Pakistan tests Abdali missile! India bans all goods coming from Pakistan
Pakistan’s ministers are saying every day that India will attack now, is ready to attack anything else, will attack within 24 hours. They are talking about self-defense, saying that we are ready for everything, our missiles are ready. Meanwhile, Pakistan is promoting that it has successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile that can penetrate far into the region. India has continued its diplomatic and trade measures as tensions between the two countries increase.

How far will Pakistan’s missile reach?

Pakistan has claimed that the missile, named Abdali, was test-fired as part of the ‘Indus’ military exercise. It is said that the Abdali missile, which can penetrate far into the region from the ground, has a range of 450 kilometers. That is, if this missile is launched from the Pakistani border, it has the ability to reach Rajasthan, Punjab or Kashmir in India. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, every military exercise and weapons test conducted by the security forces of India and Pakistan is increasing the heart rate of both countries. It seems to be a warning that it is ready for war.

Pakistan has said that it has successfully tested the most advanced guidance system and new features in the missile. The military chiefs have expressed full confidence that they are technically ready to defend the country. Still, Pakistan is constantly carrying out attacks near the Line of Control to provoke India. India is giving a befitting reply to all such attacks. After terrorists shot and killed 26 civilians in Pahalgam, Baisaran, high alert has been put on in the border areas. Even now, Pakistan has been saying that we will be attacked by India in the next two to three days. India has reportedly described the current missile test as a serious provocation.

Along with the Shaheen and Ghori missiles, the Abdali missile is also a major force for Pakistan in the battlefield as a long-range missile. It is easy to transport and deploy this missile to any location. It is also capable of carrying a nuclear warhead or other explosives. Pakistan has named its missile Abdali after the first ruler of the Durrani dynasty that ruled Afghanistan in the 18th century, ‘Ahmad Shah Abdali’.

The Commerce Ministry on Saturday issued a notification stating that India has imposed restrictions on all goods imported directly and indirectly from Pakistan. The announcement was made under the Foreign Trade Policy 2023 and will remain in force until further orders. This restriction has been imposed in the interest of national security and public policy. The direct and indirect import or transit of all goods manufactured or exported in Pakistan has been banned with immediate effect. In addition, all exchange of letters and parcels from Pakistan has been suspended. In short, Pakistan is behaving in a manner that is provoking an attack from India as soon as possible. Pakistan seems to have decided that a direct war is better than a calculated attack or surgical strike by India. However, it remains to be seen what the Indian security forces have planned. In response to heightened India-Pakistan- tensions, the ministry of home affairs has ordered nationwide mock drills for May 7 to assess emergency preparedness.  Security measures have been enhanced around Connaught Place in the national capital and at all States.

Various states are preparing to evaluate their emergency response capabilities through simulated scenarios.

The Delhi chief minister confirmed the capital’s preparedness, saying, “Delhi is fully prepared for it. The people of Delhi and the government are with the country, and we are following everything directed by the central government.”

Lucknow conducted an air raid siren test at Police Lines, with local authorities coordinating for tomorrow’s exercises.

A police official said, “Nationwide mock drills will be held tomorrow. Civil Defence, Police and local administration are preparing for it today.”

In Jammu and Kashmir, educational institutions are conducting emergency response training.  A teacher was quoted as explaining, “We inform the students how to save themselves in any adverse situation. We train them on how to lead themselves to a protected area.”

The water level in the Chenab river has dropped significantly in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir, after the closure of the Baglihar and Salal dam gates. The Chenab river is empty without water and locals are walking around. This is due to the cancellation of the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, and locals have expressed support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision. Speaking to ANI, a local warned that they do not want even a drop of water to be given to Pakistan. Earlier, the Chenab river used to flow at a height of 25-30 feet, but now there is only 1.5-2 feet of water. This is due to Prime Minister Modi’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. We do not want even a single drop of water to be given to Pakistan. We all stand with Prime Minister Modi, he said.

These activities follow the home ministry’s instructions for civil defense drills across states and union territories on May 7.

Civil defense authorities conducted meetings to discuss citizen protection during potential air attacks, providing guidelines and protective measures.

Staff received training on managing public safety during emergencies and minimizing potential damage during sudden attacks
