My next election will be in Ramanagara: Nikhil Kumaraswamy
Ramanagara: When the time comes to contest elections, my next election will be in Ramanagara. JDS Youth Wing President Nikhil Kumaraswamy has expressed his firm resolve that I will not flee the district for any reason.
This is our constituency, we are the children of the house you raised. You have blessed us with love. You have raised us. We will not flee the district for any reason. Defeat and victory are all normal. My three defeats have taught me political maturity. Without being deterred by these defeats, he said that if I get a chance again, I will contest from Ramanagara.
Speaking at the sixth-day workers’ meeting and membership registration campaign organized in Ramanagara assembly constituency, he said that Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has no work in Delhi. Responding to former MP D.K. Suresh’s statement that he would come to the state, he asked, “Did D.K. Suresh and DCM D.K. Shivakumar give support price to mango growers?”
Kumaranna has come to the aid of farmers who were in distress due to the fall in mango prices. Responding to Kumaranna’s request, who had written a letter to the Union Agriculture Minister, the Central Government has announced support price under the Market Intervention Scheme. Changing the name will not lead to development. The Congress has erased the name of Ramanagara built by Kengal Hanumanthaiah. But Ramanagara will remain forever in the hearts of the people of Ramanagara, he said.
Former MLA and District President A. Manjunath, Taluk President Sabbakere Shivalingappa, Municipal Council Member Manjunath, Former Municipal Council Member Ravi, leaders Prakash, S.C. Rajanna, Lakshmi Gooligowda, Harohalli Ramanna, Kempanna, Vasu, Dore, Umesh, Bidadi Sheshappa, Venkatesha etc. participated in the program.
