Delhi : PM Modi vows to boost military capability under Mission Sudarshan Chakra
In his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, PM Modi said the importance of “Make in India” was demonstrated during “Operation Sindhur”. Indigenously-made ammunition and defence systems played a key role in deterring attacks by Pakistani forces. “If we were not self-reliant, we would not have been able to carry out such operations,” he said.
