Bengaluru: Rotary recognizes the importance of partnerships with like-minded individuals and organizations, and actively encourages collaboration.
On this journey, something remarkable was discovered by the Rotary Club of Bangalore: that there are many others who are equally dedicated, equally credible, and equally passionate. Such individuals and institutions have come to be admired, respected, and honoured by us.
Beyond our own service, those who contribute selflessly to their communities are actively sought out and spotlighted by the Rotary Club of Bangalore. Through such recognition, it is hoped that their impact will be amplified, and others will be inspired to join in making the world a better place.
Our 8th edition of “Exemplars” was held at a glittering function in Bangalore. As you are aware Rotary club of Bangalore, along with its charity partner Rotary club of Bangalore Charitable Trust, a Registered public charitable trust has been doing enormous charity activities in communities in and around Bangalore for the last 91 years. The trust has a state of art blood bank, free hospital for 1000 patient a month, a privately owned school with 500 students , constructed over 41 schools for the government, refurbished 156 primary health centres affecting 13 Lakh population, refurbished 100 anganwadis impacting 2000 Children, refurbished 125 Government primary schools impacting over 17,000 children , donated 40 dialysis machines, and is supporting numerous other socially relevant community projects in Bangalore. Some of them are continuing projects like RBV school, Rotary TTK blood bank, Manmohan Attavar hospital etc while most of the projects are single year projects.
Alongside with our objective of doing good in the world, the Rotary Club also is actively in pursuit of identifying individuals and organizations who are engaged in doing good in the communities that they inhabit. We are often amazed at the enormous work that many others offer to society, and wish to highlight the same. So that the ground is prepared for even more good work to happen, and to make this world a better place to live in.
For this reason we have an initiative called “Exemplars” where we identify on a yearly basis, the change makers and the path breakers of our community who have the sole objective of improving the life and lifestyle of the citizens of this country. This is the 8th edition of Exemplars where we have attempted to highlight the good efforts of all of us the do good people.
