MYSORE: I would like to inform you about the above matter. S. Shivashankar is a daily wage laborer. My son has completed his studies at GTDC, Mysore. After completing his college studies, I went to Mysore to get my son’s T.C. Shivashankar, was walking near the college with my friends when I felt chest pain and fell down tired. I was suffering from chest pain and was taken to the nearby Jayadeva Hospital, Mysore. Date 05-8-2025 at 10.35 am I was admitted to Jayadeva Hospital. ECG was done and then the tragedy happened. While we were checking, we went to Dr. Dinesh to get a complete report from the doctor. He wrote us a note saying that if you want good treatment, come to my Dinesh Cardiology Clinic in Kuvempunaga, I told the doctor that I was feeling very tired. If I die, many people like you will die. Dr. Dinesh says that patients should get treatment on time. That is the golden minute. It is the only moment that saves lives. Anything can happen. Dr. Dinesh does not pay attention to all this. Hundreds of patients come every day and he gives a rude answer as to what to do. Then I said sir I belong to the Scheduled Caste, a poor daily wage worker cannot afford to spend so much, then they abused me with a bad cane and told their staff to hold my neck and throw him out, suddenly they started a verbal argument with me and shouted that you will come to the same hospital and threw me out, I have given Rs.2,000/- as a bribe to the staff. I immediately questioned the staff and they said that the elders are relatives of the CM’s wife and don’t argue like that. I sat there for about 20 minutes but they did not call me. Then I came out sadly in pain. What the Jayadeva Hospital staff say about him Dr. Dinesh is an influential person and the Chief Minister and his wife’s side are saying that they cannot do anything to him. On 22-08-2025, from around 12.00 to 1.00 pm, I have received five or six threatening calls from their staff on my mobile. (Coming in the name of Nanjunda and Suresh). They are threatening me not to speak about this matter at all.
We requested the Honorable Chief Minister and the Health Minister to suspend Dr. Dainesh of Jayadeva Hospital, Mysore, who has shown such misconduct and hooliganism, and to take immediate action. I request Dalit organizations, pro-Kannada organizations, and the media to cooperate in taking action against such doctors. I request you to provide me with protection as there is a threat to my life.
