Telugu Science Committee President Radhakrishna Appeals Kannada School in Andhra Land

Bengaluru: ‘Many districts of Andhra share borders with Karnataka. There are a large number of Kannadigas there. But they do not have a Kannada school. The Andhra Pradesh government should open a Kannada school,’ demanded Telugu Science Committee President A. Radhakrishna Raju.

He was speaking at the Ugadi Utsav and Sri Krishnadevaraya Award presentation ceremony organized by dears Science in the city on Sunday.

Submitting a request to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker K. Raghuram Krishnaraju, who was a guest at the event, he said, ‘Kannada and Telugu are like brothers and sisters. There is a lot of similarity in the way of life, speech and script of the people of the two linguistic communities. There is only a difference of seven letters between Kannada and Telugu scripts.’

In the program, actor Jaggesh was given the ‘Shri Krishnadevaraya Puraskar’ and actor Saikumar was given the ‘Swarnotsava Satkara’. K. Ragharamu Krishnaraju, Radhakrishnaraju and K. Shyamaraju were present to give the honor.

“In continuing this relationship between the two languages, learning Telugu here and learning Kannada in Andhra Pradesh plays an important role. Andhra Pradesh X FOO. should bring this matter to the attention of the government and provide teachers, textbooks and other facilities to Kannada schools in that land,” he requested.

Raghurama Krishnarabu said, “I will bring this.. appeal to the attention of the government. We will take steps for the development of Kannada schools in the border districts.”

There is no conflict between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh because the people of the languages are friendly. This should be protected.”‘All Indians should be grateful to Krishnadevaraya and Shivaji Maharaj. If those two had not been born in this country, all of us would have had different names. I would not have been Jaggesh, but Jaggesh Khan,’ said Rajya Sabha member Jaggesh.

He was speaking after receiving the ‘Shri Krishnadevaraya Puraskar’ given by the Telugu Science Committee. ‘I come from the RSS. The Sangh has taught us to serve. Receiving an award in the name of Krishnadevaraya, who protected our identity, has brought me great joy as it has given me global recognition,’ he said.
